Solicitor, APRA
Dominic Tran is a solicitor in the litigation team at APRA, where he commenced as a graduate. In this role, Dominic provides legal advice to support APRA's prudential and regulatory objectives. Previously, and while at university, Dominic worked in class action litigation as a paralegal at Maurice Blackburn Lawyers and completed an internship at Ernst & Young.
Dominic is committed to social justice and has volunteered for community legal centres and the Aboriginal Legal Service. He currently volunteers as a mentor to university students and as a pro bono solicitor at Redfern Legal Centre.
Dominic is cognisant that ensuring trust and integrity underpin behaviour in the industry is a task that cannot be accomplished by regulation alone. He believes in the capacity for The BFO to address this limitation by underscoring the necessity of ethical behaviour at a personal level, in a manner that requires individual contemplation of and an ongoing dedication to the values espoused by the Oath.
Dominic graduated from Macquarie University with a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours. He is currently studying for a Masters in Law at The Australian National University.
